Humble Grape came to us with an existing design and multiple wine bars across London, each with its own feel, menu, and regulars. Our job was to execute that design faithfully on Squarespace, while preserving and improving the SEO that was already in place.
Beyond the build itself, we consulted with the team on how best to achieve the specific functionality they wanted: table bookings, private dining and event enquiries, and improved visibility in local searches for 'wine bar' in each of the neighbourhoods where Humble Grape operates.
We built the client's design in Squarespace, with each Humble Grape location getting its own page: address, opening hours, menu, photos, and a direct booking link. On the SEO side, we preserved the existing rankings through the rebuild and improved on them by aligning title tags, meta descriptions, heading structures, and schema markup to hyper-local search terms: 'wine bar Battersea', 'wine bar Islington', 'natural wine London', and similar.
Where the client had specific functionality in mind, the events calendar and private dining enquiry flows among them, we consulted on the best way to achieve it within Squarespace and built it in.
Improved local search rankings across the target neighbourhoods, with the Battersea and Islington pages in particular picking up meaningful organic visibility for competitive hospitality terms. Private hire enquiries increased within the first quarter post-launch, and the team now manages all event listings and menu updates independently through Squarespace.
