SpaceWorks Fully Managed Websites are pay monthly websites for small businesses. You pay a setup fee from £395, then from £59 a month for hosting, support and up to an hour of edits each month. The minimum term is 12 months, and after that the site is yours.

How our pay monthly websites work
Most small business owners don't want to run a website. They want one that looks right, brings in enquiries and gets updated when something changes. That's what this service is for.
We start with a short call about your business and what the site needs to do. We design and build it, you review it, and it goes live. After that, we host it and keep it running, and when you need a change you email us and we make it. Up to an hour of edits a month is included, which covers the updates most businesses make: new photos, a price change, holiday opening hours, a new team member.
The same team that has built 500+ websites since 2018 builds yours. Our process now uses AI-assisted tools for the repetitive parts of a build, which is how we keep the setup fee low without cutting corners on design.

These are illustrative starting prices. We confirm a fixed price after a call, based on what your site needs. The monthly fee covers hosting, your security certificate, support by email and your monthly edits. Larger changes, like a new page or a new feature, are quoted before we start, at £75 an hour.
Why there's a setup fee
Plenty of pay monthly websites are advertised with nothing to pay upfront. The design and build still have to be paid for, so with no setup fee that cost is spread across the contract. Before you sign up anywhere, it's worth asking two questions: how long is the minimum term, and who owns the website at the end of it?
Our setup fee covers part of the build. That keeps the minimum term to 12 months, and it's why the site becomes yours after the first year rather than staying on a rental forever.
What happens after 12 months
After the first year the website is yours, and you choose what happens next:
- Stay fully managed: nothing changes, and we keep hosting the site and making your edits.
- Move to hosting only: we keep the site online for £15 a month, without the monthly edits.
- Take it elsewhere: we hand over the files so you can host them yourself. Things like form handling then need reconnecting on your new host.
If you need to leave during the first year, you pay the remaining months of the 12-month term, and then the same options apply.
Is a pay monthly website right for you?
It suits businesses whose website needs to win enquiries and look professional, but who don't want to learn to edit it: consultants, trades, clinics, salons, local services and new businesses that want to spread the cost.
It isn't the right fit if you sell online. A shop needs product, stock and checkout tools, so for e-commerce we build on Squarespace with our e-commerce setup service. It's also not the best value if you want to edit the site yourself every week. In that case a custom Squarespace website you run yourself will cost less over time.
Pay monthly or pay upfront?
Paying monthly costs less in the first year or two. A one-page managed site is £1,103 in year one, against about £1,404 for a designer-built Squarespace site plus its plan. Over a longer period, a site you run yourself works out cheaper, unless you'd be paying someone to make changes anyway.
