Ancillary K9 needed to move off WordPress onto a platform their owner could actually update, with a new look to match the quality of the training on offer.
Ancillary K9 was running on WordPress, and every update meant either wrestling with the CMS themselves or waiting on a developer. The site also looked dated next to the level of training they were actually delivering: specialist protection work, advanced obedience, and rehabilitation training.
The brief was to migrate to Squarespace, give the site a new look that matched the quality of the service, and structure the backend so the owner could make updates without help.
We migrated the site content from WordPress to Squarespace and rebuilt it with a new visual direction: cleaner typography, more confident use of photography, and a layout that gave each service (protection work, advanced obedience, rehabilitation) its own dedicated page with a clear description of the methodology and credentials behind it.
The bigger focus was the backend. Pages were structured around Squarespace's native editing tools so the owner could update copy, add new services, and manage enquiries without developer help going forward. Basic on-page SEO (title tags, meta descriptions, alt text) was carried over as standard, but this project was about the migration and the UX, not a dedicated SEO campaign.
A site the owner can actually maintain without going back to a developer for every change, with a look that now matches the level of the training on offer. Service pages give prospective clients a clearer picture of what's involved before they enquire.
