Squarespace ConvertKit Integration
ConvertKit, now also branded Kit, is tag-driven rather than list-driven. That makes it flexible and makes it very easy to build a tag structure you regret. Mapping the tags before connecting the forms is most of the work.

What connecting ConvertKit to Squarespace involves
- Squarespace forms writing to ConvertKit with the correct tag applied at the point of signup.
- A tag taxonomy agreed before anything is built, because retagging thousands of subscribers later is tedious and error prone.
- Sequences triggered by the right tag rather than by list membership.
- Incentive and lead magnet delivery tested end to end, including the confirmation step.
The part that usually goes wrong
ConvertKit will happily accept a new tag it has never seen, spelled slightly differently from the one you meant. Six months later you have "newsletter", "Newsletter" and "news-letter" and your automations only fire on one of them. We fix the tag names at build time and keep a written list of what exists.

- Signup to sequence with tagging
- Tag structure cleanup
- Migrating from another platform
How it is built
There are four ways into Squarespace: native integrations where one exists, embed and code blocks, code injection, and an automation layer such as Zapier or Make. Choosing the right one is most of the job. We pick the route that needs the least maintenance rather than the one that is quickest to build, because you are the one who lives with it afterwards.
Integrations are written defensively, with feature detection rather than assumptions about Squarespace internals, and fallbacks that fail quietly rather than visibly. Everything is commented and handed over with a note on what it does and where it lives. If it breaks after a Squarespace update, our support service covers fixing it.
What it costs
Integration work is $100 an hour, scoped with a fixed estimate before we start. Most single-tool integrations land between one and six hours. If your setup turns out to need more than that, we tell you before doing the work rather than after. Read more about how we handle Squarespace integrations generally.
ConvertKit and Squarespace questions
Yes, same product, rebranded. Older documentation and older integrations still say ConvertKit, which is worth knowing when you are searching for help.
For simple product sales, yes. For behavioural store flows like abandoned cart on a real catalogue, Klaviyo is the better tool and we will say so.
Yes, and it is a common request. We audit what exists, propose a consolidated structure, and merge tags carefully so existing automations keep firing. This is usually a two to four hour job.
