They approached me for assistance with converting a design their internal team had already put together with Adobe XD into a fully functioning Squarespace website.
APPROACH
Whenever I am asked to convert a design into a custom Squarespace website, I always begin by conducting a technical review. This allows me to identify (as early as possible) any elements of the design which may be difficult to develop in Squarespace or require additional custom coding/plugins.
With 17 Sports’s design, there were no significant challenges and I was confident that I could accurately replicate their design in a Squarespace environment. I setup the template using the provided brand assets and then built out each of the pages in-line with the designs, using custom coding where necessary.
OUTCOME
The website launched on time and the client was impressed with how accurately we were able to replicate the original Adobe XD designs, despite the limitations that can sometimes come with building custom Squarespace websites.
