Squarespace Development 🎨

Whether you have a Squarespace website already and are looking for a developer to add new functionality or are looking to build out a completely custom design on the world’s best CMS, this service is for you!
How does it work?
When taking on a custom development Squarespace project, I always begin my setting up an initial consultation call with the client to discuss the requirements for the project. Development work can be time consuming so it’s extremely important to fully understand what the desired outcome is before starting on the work itself.
Once the project has been discussed and I’m confident in my understanding of what’s needed the development work will begin. If this I am building new functionality for a Squarespace site, I will always work in a way that means any development is not visible to the public until it has been approved. This will allow you review the work as it is being completed and provide feedback as we go.
After the work has been completed and is ready to go live, I’ll schedule in time to release the custom code and carry out tests on different devices to ensure it’s all working as expected.

What kind of things can be done?
Squarespace allows for developers to write custom code for all websites that are on the Business plan or higher. This allows an almost unlimited amount of customisability - examples of tasks I have been hired to complete for clients are listed below:
Converting Adobe XD/Figma designs into custom Squarespace websites.
Adding new features and functionality to product pages and Squarespace stores.
Integrating 3rd party systems e.g. CRMs.
Setting up automations with Zapier to save time on repetitive admin tasks.
Removing the ability for products to be purchased via the website.
Implementing custom brand fonts.
Customising the appearance of standard Squarespace blocks.
Setting up advanced filtering functionality for galleries, stores and blogs.
